Arc-fault detection devices (AFDD) reduce the risk of fire caused by defects in the electrical installation. They disconnect the affected part of the system when serial and parallel arc faults occur. Arc-fault detection devices are prescribed for bedrooms and common rooms in nurseries, nursing homes and accessible housing as well as in facilities with a fire risk. DAFDD 1 combine the detection of arc faults with line protection and protection against residual currents in a compact package. The contact position indicators and the display tripped by residual current provide a quick overview. The RCBO component of this switch offers protection against residual currents of Type A independent of the mains voltage as well as against short-circuit and overload. Switches with tripping characteristic C are optimised for electric circuits with high inrush or peak currents. Switches in the KV design are much less sensitive to brief pulsed fault currents due to their response delay. Being lightning-resistant devices, they increase system availability and can effectively be used instead of a standard switch. as their protective function is retained. Properties: combination device with three functions; two-pole; Variable neutral-pole position; AFDD as per IEC/EN-62606; RCBO as per IEC/EN-61009; continuous self-monitoring; mains-voltage-independent tripping of the RCCB/MCB functions; Display AFDD reason for tripping; Contact position indicators; Residual current tripping indicator; compact design for all rated currents; high short-circuit resistance; strain-relief clamps with protection against wires being lodged behind them; tri-stable snap-in slider for easy mounting and removal; Mounting: quick fastening to mounting rail; any installation position; supply from below; Application areas: Protection of circuits in residential and purpose-built buildings as well as industrial facilities with TN-S and TN-C-S networks.; Not permitted for use in systems with TN-C networks; not permitted for protecting circuits in which the power electronics equipment may cause smooth DC residual currents or residual currents with frequencies not equal to 50 Hz.;
