Based on practical examples, these are explained. The following questions are addressed: What is a PLC? What is an HMI, switchboard? What is meant by the SCADA system? Profibus and Profinet? Industrial networks? Inverter? Servo technology? What is robotics suitable for and what is behind SIL 1, 2, 3 and 4?Target group

In this course, the basics of the most important components in industrial automation technology are presented and discussed as examples. It deals with the following questions and uses examples to explain how it works: What is a PLC? HMI, switchboard? SCADA system? Bus systems such as Profibus and Profinet? Industrial networks? Inverter? Servo technology? Robotics? or what is behind SIL 1, 2, 3 and 4.
