Webinar Predictive Maintenance: make data work for you!
How often is your production line down unexpectedly? And if you need to replace something, are you sure the necessary parts are still available? A good maintenance strategy is necessary to avoid the high costs of unplanned downtime. But, what is good?
You don't want to be too late, but preferably not too early either. If you know what is going to happen, you can intervene at the right time. That is why it is good to move from reactive or preventive maintenance to proactive or predictive maintenance: predictive maintenance.
Curious about which steps you can take in this regard? Watch the recording of the webinar on predictive maintenance (PdM) given on 9 May.
In the manufacturing industry, much of the unplanned downtime of machinery is caused by, for instance, wear, jammed parts, accumulated dirt or corrosion. Sensors can record this. Using this data, (self-learning) algorithms can detect potential problems before they occur. 95% of companies doing maintenance this way saw improvement in key value drivers. 60% saw their uptime improve by 9% on average.
PdM scores high where uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) are concerned. Do you want that too? Then the question is: where to start? Our webinar is a good start.
The speaker is Dirk Rösler, data specialist at Bredius DataLab, which helps leading companies extract value from data. He will discuss developments over the past 10 years, outline where PdM is heading and how to get started. Questions to be addressed include: what will you measure? How do you process and analyse the data? Who will develop the PdM tailored to my business? What are the key techniques? And, last but not least, how do I know that PdM will be rewarding?
It was an informative and entertaining webinar. Watch it back now and get that start!

Van Meer - Quick Connection for Energy StorageRead moreDrive specialist Van Meer developed an energy storage system for heavy-duty drives and designed a custom battery system for it. For the connectors in the battery system’s cabinet, their regular supplier itsme recommended omni-brand partner Phoenix Contact. Excellent connectors — only the frame didn’t fit. Phoenix Contact quickly developed a customer-specific connector design. itsme now supplies Van Meer with complete connector sets, including the custom plug.

Avebe - A Good Night’s Sleep Thanks to FactoryScanRead moreCompanies often have no clear idea of the installed base of industrial automation in their factories and warehouses. With FactoryScan, itsme can provide an overview of the current status of automation components such as PLCs. Potato processor Royal Avebe uses the results to update their component stock and assess future availability. The scan is intended to reduce the number of hardware-related disruptions Process Control Engineer Johan Wierenga has to deal with. It also helps him sleep better, knowing the stock is up to date.

OI - Warm relationship with supplierRead moreThe O-I glass factory in Leerdam produces 3.5 million beer bottles every day. The challenge of keeping production running 24/7 is tackled together with trusted supplier itsme. They ensure that technicians never run out of stock during maintenance and that critical components like cables and sensors are heat-resistant. This makes life much more relaxed for supervisor Patrick Maduro and his team in the electrical engineering department.

Festo - SFAMRead moreBecause the SFAM is a pressure and flow sensor in one, machines need only one component to measure multiple values. By measuring compressed air pressure, flow and consumption, among other things, the SFAM provides full insight into the compressed air system. This insight is the first step in a more economical, safe and sustainable system.
