Eaton - RTD Advanced the latest HMI for easyE4 mini-PLC

Eaton is launching a more advanced version of the standard Remote Touch Display (RTD) for the easyE4 mini-PLC: the RTD Advanced. The Advanced version allows users to create powerful personalised visualisations. You can also import your own text, graphics and controls and edit timer function blocks. It is a cost-effective HMI that offers flexible and fast visualisation options of all kinds. This makes the new RTD a perfect extension of your easyE4 control relay or mini-PLC.

Key features:

  • Ability to use graphics and other easy visualisation elements
  • Simultaneous visualisation of several easyE4 devices
  • Visualisations programmed with the easySoft Editor, transferred via Ethernet/easySoft or USB
  • Remote access to the menu of connected easyE4 devices
  • Editable timer function blocks
  • Use of personalised visualisations

Easy operation & commissioning

The RTD Advanced is a turnkey device that can be easily connected to the latest easyE4. This is done via a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable. The HMI is based on the latest version of Eaton's easySoft software (version 8.10) and is easy to operate thanks to a modern user interface. Programming knowledge is not required.

Mirror function & remote access

Like the RTD Standard, the RTD Advanced can mirror the display and keypad of one or more easyE4 mini-PLCs. Moreover, the RTD Advanced can display data from multiple easyE4 devices and does not need to switch between mirroring one mini-PLC at a time. The new RTD also provides remote access to the menus of connected easyE4 devices. To prevent unauthorised access to the visualisation interface, up to three different users can be set up and managed.

65,000 colours, 13 languages

The full-colour screen of the compact 4.3 ‘ display reproduces the screen and controls of the easyE4, and has more than 65,000 available colours to display text, values, parameters and even images. The RTD menu is available in 13 different languages.

Signaal 64 - Boon Edam - Toegang tot VMI en een groot assortiment
Boon Edam, known for its revolving doors and turnstiles, picked itsme as their main electrical components supplier last year. Connected Business - Vendor Managed Inventory
The Lean improvement method distinguishes eight waste categories. One of these is 'inventory'. Too much stock is not good, but neither is too little. After all, having stock also provides the safe feeling of availability in times of uncertain internal planning and external factors that cannot be directly influenced. Because optimising availability both in one's own company and in the supply chain is often not the core competence of our customers, itsme can take over the care of such optimisation, for example through the import and management of so-called Vendor Managed Inventory systems. But, how do you know whether VMI is indeed the right solution? Ralph van Aartsen can answer that crucial question - using five questions. Here, in advance, are his answers to our questions on VMI.
