Siemens introduces the HMI Unified Basic Panels

Siemens introduces the HMI Unified Basic Panels, a new standard in machine visualisation. Designed to meet the diverse requirements in a manufacturing process, these panels provide operators with a better overview and control of machines, production lines and entire plants.

A key aspect of the HMI Unified Basic Panels is standardisation. This ensures that important plant components are aligned and that new plant components can be easily integrated. By using uniform equipment and a uniform design of engineering and graphics, operators can react quickly to changes and maintain a clear overview.

The panels are equipped with multitouch technology and optimised for industrial environments. They are available in four different display sizes (4" to 12") and offer the same performance, hardware interfaces and functionality. With clear display and good readability of the display, operators can easily visualise relevant data. Moreover, flexible remote access to production data ensures that operators can access important information anytime, anywhere.

The associated software, WinCC Unified, is part of the TIA Portal and provides data transfer and communication during projecting and with other Siemens controllers and HMI devices. This ensures seamless integration of the HMI Unified Basic Panels into existing systems. They are also compatible with existing Basic Panels, allowing operators to benefit from improved performance and functionality without having to completely replace their existing systems.

With the introduction of the HMI Unified Basic Panels, Siemens is setting a new standard in machine visualisation. Operators can now have a better overview and keep everything under control in the production process, thanks to improved visualisation, access to relevant data and the ability to make decisions quickly and efficiently. These panels offer an affordable solution and are easy to integrate into existing systems.
