SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L
Maximum ruggedness for extremely challenging environmental conditions
The portfolio of the new generation SIMATIC ET 200eco PN includes 5 compact and robust digital modules and an IO-Link Master. With the compact design, these modules are designed to be used directly on the machine, even in challenging environmental conditions. With only 6 powerful and easy to set up modules, almost the entire range of functionalities of the previous series is matched.
The M12 connection with L-coding (M12-L-coded) for the power supply allows for higher currents, making longer cable lengths possible in the field.
The new model series draws on familiar and proven functions. With its ruggedness, high protection class (IP67), and small footprint, the ET 200eco PN is especially suited for use at the machine level, especially in the machine building and automotive industries. This makes it a seamless supplement to the modular ET 200pro and ET 200AL I/O families.
New generation of the extremely rugged block I/O
The SIMATIC ET 200eco PN is a compact block I/O with PROFINET connection in protection class IP 65/67 for cabinet-free installation directly on the machine. Thanks to its die-cast zinc housing, SIMATIC ET 200eco PN is mechanically very rugged and resistant to vibration, dust, oil, and humidity. The new, fully revised SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L series offers a new and compact housing, higher current carrying capacity, and many new functions.
Synchronous operation
The devices of the new generation SIMATIC ET 200eco PN support synchronous operation in PROFINET IRT networks. This enables more determinism and thus improved machine performance.
S2 redundancy
The new generation of SIMATIC ET 200eco PN modules can be used in redundant systems, such as the high-availability SIMATIC S7-1500R/H ring systems. For example, in tunnel applications.
Module-internal Input and Module-internal Output
Thanks to Module-internal Shared Input (MSI) and Module-internal Shared Output (MSO), several controllers can have simultaneous and independent read access to the current switching status of the inputs or outputs of a SIMATIC ET 200eco PN device without additional programming effort.
Shared Device
The shared device function means that the I/O device channels can be split between two IO controllers. This distribution allows the creation of flexible automation concepts.
Powerful, robust digital block IO with M12-L connector
The SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L portfolio consists of five compact, rugged digital IO devices and an IO-Link master. The parameterizable devices cover an extensive range of functionalities. The M12-L-coded plugs for the power supply enable a higher current carrying capacity and therefore significantly longer cable lengths in the field with no additional supply cables.

Bright Renewables - From Webinar to an Actual Predictive Maintenance ProjectRead moreUnder the header “FastForward”, itsme supports product improvement and process acceleration, including by informing customers about time-saving solutions and smart technologies. For example, in spring 2023, a webinar on predictive maintenance was organised in collaboration with KIM Plus Delta, consultants for asset and maintenance management. Bright Renewables’ participation resulted in an actual predictive maintenance project for Bright's green gas plants.

Signaal 64 - Boon Edam - Toegang tot VMI en een groot assortimentRead moreBoon Edam, known for its revolving doors and turnstiles, picked itsme as their main electrical components supplier last year. The large product range and the vendor managed inventory (VMI) solution for the grab stock of electrical assembly materials were the deciding factors. “When you install VMI, you actually do it forever.”

Sissing Noord - Commissioning FrequencyRead moreSissing Noord in Leek (Groningen) is an expert in the maintenance, renovation and construction of “wet” infrastructure, like movable bridges, pumping stations and locks. For the drives of these structures, itsme supplies the speed drives and, where necessary, also the technical know-how. For projects where Sissing Noord needs this knowledge, specialist itsme offers “some relief”.

Connected Business - Vendor Managed InventoryRead moreThe Lean improvement method distinguishes eight waste categories. One of these is 'inventory'. Too much stock is not good, but neither is too little. After all, having stock also provides the safe feeling of availability in times of uncertain internal planning and external factors that cannot be directly influenced. Because optimising availability both in one's own company and in the supply chain is often not the core competence of our customers, itsme can take over the care of such optimisation, for example through the import and management of so-called Vendor Managed Inventory systems. But, how do you know whether VMI is indeed the right solution? Ralph van Aartsen can answer that crucial question - using five questions. Here, in advance, are his answers to our questions on VMI.
